With so many beautiful and passionate designs of wooden surfboards being made all over Europe. On the 15th of August there will be a meeting of wooden surfboard designers, surf board enthusiasts and the environmental conscious surfer at the Moy hill community Garden. The Day will include talks, shows, food and a film premier.
The Moy Hill Community Garden known for is fresh organic vegetables will become the place for a small gathering of surfers, designers and anyone interested in eco surfboard design.
The Day will begin with a meeting at 3pm on Lahinch beach on the west coast of Ireland to look, feel and test up 20 wooden surfboards. At 6pm all will be welcomed to the community garden for a cook up of fresh organically grown and traditionally harvested produce, an Irish feast. There will be talks from Spanish wooden surfboard shaper Sergi from Flama surfboards, Irelands Vincent Ohalloran, Tom Doidge-Harrison a conventional surfboard shaper and Ex Irish Champion turned organic farmer Fergal Smith finishing the evening with the premier of Patagonias beautiful film The Fishermans Son
The Day is Welcome to everyone and anyone if they are professional surfers or never even felt a surfboard. At the Garden with the same ethos every day, open gate generosity and a celebration of community. The wooden surfboard meet will be a beautiful day and promises a warm spirit of creative talen, fuelled by great healthy food, surf talk, film-makers and surfers whom are all drawn together to celebrate eco friendly surfboards.
